I bring a critical afrocentric approach to research, consulting & education.

My practice focus areas include community health & wellness, racial justice & land-based activism.

about me

My name is Fanis Juma. My African Indigenous name is Awiti. I have a passion for supporting groups, organizations and systems on a wayfinding journey towards Anti-Racist Anti-Colonial Practice.

In response to social challenges, institutions can adopt new practices that nurture justice and produce equitable outcomes.

ASCM

Drawing from African Indigenous Knowledge Systems (AIKS), I use an Afrocentric-Sharing Circle Model (ASCM) to facilitate conversations that raise critical consciousness in organization and institutional settings.
